Steve Leroy

Steve Leroy is Vice President Legal & Corporate Affairs Europe for Anheuser-Busch InBev, based in Leuven, Belgium. He leads both the legal and corporate affairs teams across Europe for the company, which is the world’s largest brewer. Steve and his teams are accountable for all legal matters such as competition law and anti-corruption compliance, litigation and commercial contracts, as well as public affairs, communications and corporate social responsibility. Steve Leroy started his career as a lawyer in Brussels, and then assisted the Belgian Commissioner General for the Refugees, before becoming project manager with the Antwerp Economic Development Agency. Subsequently, he was appointed Chief of Staff to the Governor for Antwerp, Belgium’s largest province. Before joining AB InBev, Steve Leroy held a variety of corporate affairs and business project management roles at Coca-Cola Enterprises and at The Coca-Cola Company across Europe, Eurasia & the Middle East. Steve holds a Master’s degree in Law magna cum laude from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium (1989), and a Master’s degree in Commercial & Consular Sciences magna cum laude from Hautes Etudes Commerciales St. Louis (Groupe ICHEC), in Brussels, Belgium (1992). He is a graduate of the full year Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at INSEAD, in Fontainebleau, France (1998), and also obtained the specialised Master’s degree in EU Competition Law & Economics (LLM) summa cum laude from the Brussels School of Competition, Belgium (2014). Steve is a citizen of Belgium and the USA. He is fluent in English, Dutch, French and Italian, and also speaks some German.
