Stephen J. Squeri

Steve Squeri has more than 30 years of experience litigating civil and criminal antitrust and other complex business litigation matters and has served as lead trial counsel in complex civil and criminal jury and bench trials. Steve has defended companies and individuals in numerous criminal antitrust investigations, including investigations of Asian and European clients. At present, he is representing both individual and corporate Japanese clients in connection with major international cartel investigations. Steve also has extensive experience litigating civil antitrust cases, including the ongoing defense of pending antitrust class action claims in the health care and auto parts industries. He was lead trial counsel in the successful and carefully watched prosecution of civil antitrust claims on behalf of a group of RE/MAX entities against the then dominant real estate brokerage companies in Northeast Ohio. Steve is one of the two principal editors and authors of the ABA Criminal Antitrust Litigation Handbook (second edition). He is also an adjunct professor of law at The University of Akron where he has taught complex business litigation and guest lectured on antitrust law. Steve is chair of the board of directors for the Center for Community Solutions, a nonpartisan, public policy think tank. He is a member of the board of directors for United Way of Greater Cleveland and also the Visiting Committee of the Levin School at Cleveland State University.
