Wendy Ng

Wendy researches on competition law, focusing on China, law and development, and political economy issues. Her PhD, which examined the political economy of China’s competition law, received the Chancellor’s Prize for Excellence in the PhD Thesis from the University of Melbourne and the Harold Luntz Graduate Research Price for the Best PhD Thesis from Melbourne Law School. She teaches competition law, corporate law, and Chinese law. She is also a consultant to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission on issues relating to competition law and development, and an editor of the China Competition Bulletin, a leading bimonthly publication on the latest developments in Chinese competition law and policy. Prior to academia, she practised as a lawyer for several years at leading law firms in Melbourne and New York, working in competition law and corporate law.
